Privacy Policy — RackerTracker
Last updated: July 9, 2026 · See also our Terms & Conditions
This Privacy Policy explains how the RackerTracker mobile application ("the App", "we", "us")
collects, uses, and protects your information. By using the App you agree to this policy. If you do
not agree, please do not use the App.
Who we are
The App is operated by Hunter Hammond ("the Developer"). For any privacy questions or requests,
contact us at support@racker-tracker.com.
Information we collect
- Account information — your name and email address when you create an account.
You can sign up with email/password, Google Sign-In, or Sign in with
Apple. With Google we receive your name, email, and profile photo. With Sign in with
Apple you may choose to hide your email, in which case Apple provides a private relay address.
- Profile photo — an optional photo you upload, shown on tournament leaderboards.
- Contact details — a phone number you provide when registering for a tournament.
- Tournament activity — your skill level, registrations, match results, and
win/loss record.
- Social connections — if you connect with other players (by scanning a
tournament QR code, searching, or adding opponents), we store those mutual connections, plus any
players you block or mute, so we can show relevant tournaments and respect your preferences.
- Payment information — tournament entry fees are not paid
through the App (see "Entry fees, prizes, and no gambling" below). When an organizer subscribes
to an organizer plan or buys a single-tournament credit, payment is processed as an in-app
purchase by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play), and we
use RevenueCat to manage purchase and subscription status. These providers
collect payment details directly; we do not receive or store your card number. We store only
subscription/credit status (e.g., active, canceled) and payment reference IDs. Subscriptions
started before we moved to in-app purchases are billed by Stripe until they
end.
- Skill ratings — skill levels you enter (e.g., APA), and, if you choose to link
your FargoRate rating, the name you search is sent to FargoRate's public rating service to find
your official rating. We store the rating and FargoRate ID you confirm.
- Notifications token — a device push token so we can send you match and
tournament notifications. You can turn notifications off in your device settings.
- Tournament location — if you organize a public tournament, the venue address
you enter is stored and shown to invited players. This is a venue you type in, not your device's
GPS location; we do not track your location in the background.
- Identifiers — a unique account ID assigned by our backend provider (Firebase),
and, for accounts created with Sign in with Apple, a token used only to revoke Apple access if
you delete your account.
How we use your information
- To create and manage your account and authenticate you.
- To run tournaments — registration, brackets, match results, leaderboards, and standings. Your
name, skill level, and match results may be shown on tournament display boards (for example, a
TV screen at the venue showing the live bracket).
- To process organizer subscriptions and single-tournament credits (not entry fees — those are
handled in cash by organizers, outside the App).
- To send you notifications about your matches and tournaments.
- To display your name and photo to other participants and organizers in tournaments you join,
and to power the social connections you create.
- To maintain the security and proper functioning of the App.
How your information is shared
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that operate
the App on our behalf:
- Google Firebase — authentication, database, file storage, and push notifications.
- Apple and Google — in-app purchase processing for organizer
plans and credits (App Store / Google Play), with RevenueCat managing purchase
status. See Apple's,
Google's, and
RevenueCat's privacy policies.
- Stripe — payment processing for subscriptions started before we moved to in-app
purchases. See Stripe's privacy policy at
stripe.com/privacy.
- Twilio — delivery of SMS/text-message notifications, only if you opt in to SMS. See Twilio's privacy policy at twilio.com/legal/privacy.
- Resend — delivery of email notifications, only if you enable email
notifications. See Resend's privacy policy at resend.com/legal/privacy-policy.
- FargoRate — only if you choose to link your FargoRate rating, your
searched name is sent to FargoRate's public rating lookup.
- Apple / Google — when you choose Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In, solely
to authenticate you.
- Other tournament participants and the organizer can see your name, photo, skill level, and
match results for tournaments you join.
SMS / text message notifications
If you provide a mobile phone number and turn on text-message (SMS) notifications, we send SMS
messages related to your tournaments and matches (for example, when it is your turn to play or when a
tournament you joined is updated). SMS is optional and off by default; you opt in by
entering your mobile number and enabling the SMS consent switch in the app's Notification Settings.
- Message frequency. Message frequency varies and depends on your tournament
activity — you generally receive messages only around events you participate in.
- Message and data rates may apply. Standard message and data rates from your
mobile carrier may apply to messages you send or receive.
- Opt out any time. Reply
STOP to any message to unsubscribe, or turn
SMS off in Notification Settings. Reply HELP for help. Carriers are not liable for
delayed or undelivered messages.
- We do not share your mobile number. Mobile phone numbers collected for SMS
notifications are used solely to deliver these messages through our SMS provider and are
never shared or sold to third parties or affiliates. No mobile information is
shared with any third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.
Entry fees, prizes, and no gambling
RackerTracker is not a gambling, wagering, or real-money gaming service. The App
is a tournament management tool. Where a pool tournament has an entry fee or prize, all money is
collected, held, and paid out in cash, in person, by the tournament organizer(s) —
entirely outside the App. The App never processes, holds, escrows, or transfers entry-fee or prize
money; organizers use it only to record that a player has paid and to track results and standings.
The only payments processed through the App are organizer subscription fees and single-tournament
credits (software fees paid as in-app purchases through the App Store or Google Play), which are
unrelated to any prize pool. Organizers are
solely responsible for conducting their events lawfully in their jurisdiction.
Data security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and stored using industry-standard
providers (Google Firebase; Apple, Google and RevenueCat for purchases). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take
reasonable measures to protect your information.
Data retention and deletion
We retain your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your
account directly in the App (Profile → Delete Account), which removes your profile, photo,
and tournament registrations, signs you out, and — for Sign in with Apple accounts — revokes the
Apple token associated with your account. You may also request access or deletion by emailing
support@racker-tracker.com; we will act on verified
requests within 30 days, except where we must retain limited records for legal or financial (payment)
compliance.
Children's privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information
from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will
delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the
"Last updated" date above.
